Dragon Heart I

This is a unique acrylics poured abstract painting done by using the ring pouring technique after paints were stacked in a pouring cup. No silicone oil was used to achieve the desired effects. The mediums used in this piece was a self pre-mixed acrylic pouring medium inspired by Molly Artistry achieved by pre-mixing 1,000 ml of US Floetrol, 500 ml of Gloss Medium & Varnish from Creative Inspirations, and 200  ml of GAC 800 from Golden. The ratio of pre-mixed pouring medium to paint was 70-30%. That is, 70% of the pre-mixed medium to 30% acrylic paints. The amount of water used was determined to reach each paint to the desired consistency. This piece was finished with 7 layers of Liquitex Professional Acrylic High Gloss Varnish to give it a glossy effect and protects it from moisture, UV-radiation, water, dust, and ultimately protects the colors over time.
